ISO 20022 Project Team Member
As a member of the ISO 20022 project team, I played a key role in transferring MT-based operation system to MX system. I have studied the logic behind the transactions under MX system and MT system. Then, I have studied market products dealt by Mizuho Seoul. I went through daily tests, and meeting with Mizuho IT team, Head Office Tokyo, and APAC Head Office Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
Recognised as the top-performing APAC branch at Mizuho for operations and ISO 20022 project execution in FY 2024 Q4.
Collected and analysed real data from past transactions at Mizuho Bank, Seoul Branch.
Developed and refined 191 distinct branch operational case scenarios to test.
Conducted User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for financial transactions, including spot and forward trades, netting and partial payments, derivatives, inward and outward remittances, Continuous Linked Settlements, interbank services, Non-Deliverable Forwards, and message types MT900, MT910, and MT950 under the new MX framework.
Analysed test results and documented findings to identify and resolve defects in alignment with ISO 20022 logic.
Independently designed and implemented an MX template for pain.001, ensuring compliance with both branch operations and SWIFT requirements.
Optimized Business Continuity Planning (BCP) project expenses, achieving a cost reduction of 1 billion KRW, by leveraging existing MT202 functionalities to meet pacs.009 SWIFT requirements.
Engaged in weekly coordination meetings with the head office and bi-weekly discussions with APAC branches.
Maintained direct client communication, troubleshooting issues related to customer migration and ensuring a smooth transition.
